Two marines are on trial for their complicity in the death of a fellow marine. Their lawyer makes a valiant effort to defend his two clients. In so doing, he puts the whole U.S. military mentality on trial because the defendants were following orders and are willing to go to jail if need be to maintain the marine honour code.
